A Beautiful Gathering in the Heartland: Mom’s March for America
A Beautiful Gathering in the Heartland: Mom’s March for America

Our great nation, America the beautiful, is not merely beautiful for her spacious skies, amber waves of grain, purple mountain majesties, heroes proved, or patriots’ dreams. The true and lasting worth of our nation lies in the hearts of her citizens, for individual character and virtue comprise our national character and virtue.

But where do character and virtue come from?

Scottish runner and missionary to China, Eric Liddell, talks about where the power comes from to run the race (in sports and in life):

And where does the power come from to see the race to its end? From within.

Jesus said, “Behold, the kingdom of God is within you. If with all your hearts you truly seek me, ye shall ever surely find me.”

If you commit yourself to the love of Christ, then that is how you run a straight race.

Nineteenth century French diplomat, political scientist, and historian Alexis de Tocqueville remarked about America:

Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits flame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because America is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.

Today in America, even many so-called conservatives reject social conservative values for the political efficacy of purely economic conservatism. But an economic conservatism without solid social conservative mores is like a beautifully designed building with no foundation: its stability and beauty will not long endure.

And how exactly do the citizens of the United States come to embody both the strength that Liddell spoke of and the goodness referenced by de Tocqueville? Those precepts and worldviews are taught at home by fathers and mothers who love their children and invest the time to teach them what is necessary to run the race of a life well-lived.

And often it is mothers who are the heart of the home.

Motherhood has been under attack by “progressive” and radical factions in our nation. Mothers and motherhood have been sneered at, and abortion lifted up as a sacred human right.

But in God’s economy, life is sacred and mothers are blessed for giving birth and raising children with faith and values.

The Women’s March in January 2017 displayed the “anti-mom,” “anti-family,” and “anti-life” hordes of feminist, pink pussy-hat-wearing, radicals. Speaking, or rather screeching, to the raucous crowd, Ashley Judd proclaimed, “I am a NASTY woman!” Judd ranted for over six minutes, castigating President Donald Trump and speaking of things better spoken of, if at all, in the privacy of a home.

Lest there be any doubt of the Women’s March agenda, the organizers barred New Wave Feminists–a pro-life feminist organization–from attending.

And to further emphasize exactly where the Women’s March stands, its mission statement proclaims:

We believe in Reproductive Freedom. We do not accept any federal, state or local rollbacks, cuts or restrictions on our ability to access quality reproductive healthcare services, birth control, HIV/AIDS care and prevention, or medically accurate sexuality education. This means open access to safe, legal, affordable abortion and birth control for all people, regardless of income, location or education.

We firmly declare that LGBTQIA Rights are Human Rights and that it is our obligation to uplift, expand and protect the rights of our gay, lesbian, bi, queer, trans or gender non-conforming brothers, sisters and siblings. We must have the power to control our bodies and be free from gender norms, expectations and stereotypes.

In stark contrast to the Women’s March, moms–the heart of our homes–from around the nation will be gathering on September 23rd in America’s heartland, Omaha, Nebraska, for the Mom’s March for America.

The MMA mission vision declares:

Raising a standard to the nation: reclaiming our children’s heritage through faith, family, freedom and the Constitution.

The Mom’s March “Declaration of Mothers” further proclaims:

The Declaration of Mothers is the standard and foundation for the Mom’s March. It is a proclamation to the nation telling our elected leaders, policy makers and the media what we want to see upheld and promoted in our society, schools, government and communities.

Our Rights come from God not government and the Constitution of the United States was created under the inspiration of Almighty God to secure our inherent rights and the liberty for all people.

We recognize the sacred role of mother as the heart of the home and home as the heart of society.

Mothers by their divine nature and intrinsic influence determine the future of a nation, mold its citizens, determine its institutions and shape its destiny.

Parents are, first and foremost, the primary teachers and protectors of their children in a free society.

We affirm the self-evident truths that all men and women are created equal; endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights which include life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness.

Freedom is a rare and prized possession which requires constant care and vigilance for its preservation. Each generation has a responsibility to instill a love of liberty and virtue in the hearts of the next generation.

Where the Women’s March radicals scorned child-birth, motherhood, and the family, the Mom’s March for America uplifts children, mothers, and the family. The former chooses death and destruction, the latter chooses life. The screeching feminists love darkness; the mothers love the light. In fact, featured at the website, the Mom’s March for America Map of Light–every light representing an area where a mother or mothers have signed the Declaration.

Unlike the bitter, pink-hat wearing women, the ladies at the Mom’s March in Omaha will have the opportunity to hear speakers that affirm life and motherhood, including Sarah Palin, Candy Carson (wife of Dr. Ben Carson), and Missy Robertson (Duck Dynasty).

The thousands of women heading for Nebraska carry in their hearts the fervent belief that America is great because she is good. Those women, those mothers, want to remind our nation where the goodness and the greatness comes from.

Like Eric Liddell, The women participating in the Mom’s March for America understand the will to run the race of life comes from within. Mothers can instill these precepts in their children, raising a generation that will honor God and country and restore the greatness of our nation.

The gathered horde in Washington, D.C., in January 2017, represented the darkest factions in America.

The beautiful gathering in America’s heartland on September 23, 2017, will represent a renewal of our nation’s virtue and character as thousand of mothers, true patriots, and heroes reclaim the rightful honor of raising a righteous generation of young citizens.

And in another contrast to the pink-hatted feminists, lavender will be the official color of the Mom’s March for America. Here’s why:

If you are a mom, or know of a mom/moms who would like to attend, the tickets are only $10 and $25 and may be purchased here.

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
