SUMMARY:IFI Special Forum: Israel or Palestine? (Northwest Suburbs)
DESCRIPTION:The anti-Israel demonstrations and riots taking place across the nation is shocking. Who would have thought that so many Americans would turn their backs on Israel? The open hostility being expressed – and the tactics being used – by many in these crowds is appalling. \nOne thing is for certain\, this level of anger and hate didn’t develop overnight in our culture. Hatred for Jews and the nation of Israel taught in our schools and fostered by the media\, coupled with public demonstrations of animosity has been going on for some time and is now boiling over.  \nAs we know\, an ongoing cease-fire was broken by Hamas when it launched terror attacks on innocent and unsuspecting Israeli men\, women\, and children on October 7th. These cowardly attacks killed approximately 1\,200 people\, including\, according to the Times of Israel\, “two infants\, 12 other children under the age of 10\, 36 civilians aged 10-19\, and 25 elderly people over the age of 80\, accounting for 75 of the 764 civilians.” \nAdd to that the fact that Hamas took more than 240 Israeli hostage\, and according to this Christian Science Monitor article\, more than 100 hostages are still in the hands of these jihadists. \nIn the wake of these attacks\, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched a counterattack\, seeking the total defeat of Hamas. \nNow\, eight months later\, pro-Palestine crowds are gathering in various cities around the nation to protest Israel’s on-going military campaign in Gaza. And these demonstrations have been becoming more overtly anti-Israel in nature.  \nIslamic extremists and their left-wing sympathizers are openly waving Palestinian flags and chanting\, “Free\, Free Palestine” and “Long live Palestine.” Some agitators are waving the flag of Hamas and chanting “Death to Israel” in Persian. Appallingly\, the chant “we are Hamas” has been overheard as well. \nSadly\, we know that radicals in Dearborn\, Michigan\, were also chanting “Death to America” along with their “Death to Israel” mantra.  \nFar too many Americans are accepting the deceptive narratives about Israel and the Jewish people that is being disseminated by the corporate media\, Islamic extremists\, and woke Leftists. These lies must be exposed! \nJoin us to better understand the answer to the question\, “Israel or Palestine?” from a Biblical and historical perspective\, from an expert on Islam\, the Bible\, terrorism\, and the Middle East. \nNew Hope Church is thrilled to bring Usama Dakdok back to Chicagoland to present on this very important topic! \nThis is something all Christians\, Americans\, supporters of Israel and anyone who wants to have a better understanding of what is behind the Hamas attack\, the war against Israel\, and the growing threat of anti-Semitism in the U.S. and abroad. \nUsama Dakdok is an Egyptian born\, Christian raised\, Arabic and English-speaking minister and founder of The Straight Way of Grace Ministry. He specializes in evangelism to Muslims and has translated the Qur’an from Arabic to the first true and accurate English translation called “The Generous Qur’an.” \nIn this timely and fact-filled presentation\, Usama Dakdok will explore several key issues: \n– Is the Jewish state an illegal occupier of the “Land of Palestine?”– What lies are students being taught about Israel & Palestine?– Are today’s Palestinians descendants of the original inhabitants of the land?– What is the “Promised Land” in the Qur’an & Bible?– And finally\, what’s the true source of the horrific hatred of the Jews and Christians in the Middle East? \nThis is a FREE event so please invite many friends and family! And bring your pre-teens and teens. They need to hear these truths to counter what is being taught in government schools and broadcast in the media. \nPlease also consider coming prepared to support Usama’s ministry: The Straight Way of Grace.
