DESCRIPTION:Iron Sharpens Iron is a Conference Network made up of individual ministries that are working interdependently to most effectively offer local church resources for men. We are doing this by mobilizing ministries to resource local churches with a first class one-day equipping conference that is designed for men (age 13 and older). Featuring Jeff Struecker and Phil Downer. \nJeff Struecker is currently the Lead Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Columbus\, Georgia. He is an award-winning author with five books in print. He and his wife\, Dawn\, have five children and two grandchildren. Jeff is a decorated soldier with over 22 years of active federal service. He served for ten years in the 75th Ranger Regiment in positions from Private to Platoon Sergeant. His combat experience includes participation in the invasion of Panama\, Operation Desert Storm\, Black Hawk Down in Somalia\, and more than a dozen combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. Jeff holds a Ph.D. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest\, NC. \nPhil Downer is currently the President of Discipleship Network of America (DNA). DNA is a nationwide network of people committed to following Christ’s life of winning and discipling others to become disciple makers. He has authored 7 books on such topics as parenting\, marriage\, and leadership. Phil served in Vietnam with the United States Marine Corps in 1967 and 1968 as a machine gunner. Before serving in ministry he was a successful senior partner of a 50-attorney law firm where fellow professionals led him to Christ and discipled him in the faith. Phil is a popular national speaker who speaks to all branches of the U.
