DESCRIPTION:Illinois Conservative Union is pleased to host United We Stand 2021\, the 5th Annual Illinois Conservative Grassroots Activist Conference. This is an Illinois-specific\, action-oriented event. Those who have attended this conference in the past know is not just “more talk”! Every attendee will find new tools for their “activist toolbox”\, and learn how to use them to greatest effect. \nThis one-day conference begins with check-in at 8:30 am and a continental breakfast (included). Program begins at 9 am. Register at this link. \nTo replenish your toolbox this year the action sessions include: \n\nSpeakers will include: Jeanne Ives (Breakthrough Ideas)\, David Smith (Illinois Family Institute/ Illinois Family Action)\, Kirk Allen (Edgar County Watchdogs)\,  David Shestokas (Author\, Attorney)\, Darren Bailey (Candidate for Governor) and our own Carol Davis (Chairman ICU & FreedomWorks’ Director of Election Protection Initiative)\nLaura Zorc\, Director of Education Reform for FreedomWorks BEST program (Building Education for Students Together) will cover how to push back against local board overreach and address concerns about mandates being imposed on children.\nDavid Zalar (AMAC) will introduce a new app from developer Vocal Company LLC to alert concerned Illinois citizens when critical legislation is coming up in Springfield. This app enables activists to take action quickly and effectively.\nLinda Memmesheimer of Think Wholistic will tell us how we can leverage heavy-handed government tactics regarding our health to WIN OVER natural health advocates who are questioning their loyalty to the Left. She’ll also include strategies for strengthening our immune systems.\nEffectively hold government accountable using the FOIA (Freedom of Information Act)\nThe ICU Election Integrity Seminar\, Guardians of the Vote. This comprehensive seminar is educating and inspiring activists across the state.\nAnd much more!\n\nBreakfast\, Lunch & Dinner included. \nLunch is included in your conference package along with time to visit sponsors and exhibitors\, build new contacts and catch up with friends. \nThroughout the day we will offer candidates in state-wide races a chance to speak about what they will do to take back our state for We the People. All candidates will have their name and the office they are seeking announced so prospective constituents can say “Hi” to you during breaks. \n(Invitations to candidates to speak will be based upon the candidate’s alignment and/or voting record with the Illinois Conservative Union’s values. Since there will be limited time available during the conference\, ICU reserves the right to limit the number of candidates speaking.
