SUMMARY:Iron Sharpens Iron Conference in Springfield
DESCRIPTION:Iron Sharpens Iron is a Conference Network made up of individual ministries that are working interdependently to most effectively offer local church resources for men. We are doing this by mobilizing ministries to resource local churches with a first class one-day equipping conference that is designed for men (age 13 and older). Featuring Kempton Turner and Bruce Fong. \nBruce Fong is the Dean of Dallas Theological Seminary Houston and Professor of Pastoral Ministries. He enjoys ministering at the intersection of parachurch\, pastoral\, and academic ministry.  He is committed to teaching God’s Word “to anyone and everyone who will lend him an ear.” Dr. Fong and his wife\, Yvonne\, have five children (three children plus two in-law children that he and his wife love so much that they are counted as their own). He enjoys the outdoors\, spending time with his family\, and riding his motorcycle. \nKempton Turner serves as the lead pastor of City of Joy Fellowship in East St. Louis. He was raised in East St. Louis\, Illinois\, but has spent most of his life in Houston\, Texas. Kempton spent 7 years on the pastoral staff at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis\, Minnesota\, before becoming the Church Planting Pastoral Resident.  He and his childhood sweetheart Caryn have been happily married since 1999 and the Lord has blessed them with four children: Christian\, Carysse\, Kalia\, and Caleb. His prayer and hope is that the Lord would establish a joyful\, loving\, Christ-magnifying local church in East St. Louis. \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER.
